1997-2003 Ford Diesel 7.3L Powerstroke Glow Plug Injector harness pigtail (1997-Questionable)
This item will work on mid 1997 and up to 2003 FORD 7.3L Powerstrokes ONLY.
If your plug does not look the same, it will not work. Pictures are very clear and detailed. Use them to verify fit and application
If you have a 1997 model you need to check the number of electrical connectors you have per valve cover
A very common problem on the 7.3L Powerstrokes is that the main connector at the valve cover melts down. This connector handles the current for both the glow plugs and injectors (both of which are under the valve covers.) The purpose of this kit is to repair the connector on the outside of the valve cover which is really a part of the engine wiring harness. This will save you big $$ as opposed to buying a whole new engine wiring harness. In some cases when this failure occurs, you will also need to replace the valve cover gasket, and the internal harnesses under the valve cover as well to prevent a repeat failure (sometimes the failure is due to oil seeping into the connector)
